Warming Up in June at Sumiao

Dragon Boat Festival 2023

Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday which falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is in late May or June on the Gregorian calendar. Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival has been a local tradition in Cambridge since 1979. It has transformed old traditions into an exciting sporting and cultural event, right here on the Charles River. Arts and crafts, tasty food! We are so excited that the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival is back on Thursday, June 22th this year. SHK has supported this annual event and sponsored a number of boat teams since 2016 and celebrated this festival with traditional foods.
