This year is special because you can enjoy our 4-course lunch or dinner menu both for dine-in and takeout orders. In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating our owner, Sumiao Chen! Our restaurant is successful thanks to her incredible work ethic, her kind heart, and her dedication to making people happy with Hunan cuisine. She works tirelessly to keep our restaurant a place where all are welcome.

Five fun facts about Sumiao!
1. Sumiao is an animal lover! In the past, the restaurant has made donations to BARC (Boston Animal Rescue Collaborative) to support man’s best friend.
2. She made a career in pharmaceutical research but her passion for bringing Hunanese cuisine to Boston inspired her to open the restaurant.
3. Sumiao met her husband, Shao, in medical school in China. They have two smart, kind sons named Mo and Leo.
4. Sumiao’s favorite color is purple. She also loves the color black. Her love for colors is shown in the restaurant’s vibrant decor.
5. Sumiao is a woman of many talents. One of her favorites is singing! If you catch her at the restaurant, ask for a tune!
